With just one request on the pop neighborhood app , this dog - loving elder formed a young community of deal neighbors and pup friends .
No matter what happens to us , the last choice we need to make is to give up our beloved furry friends . But for Linda Summers of University Park , Texas , rehoming Lacey Day , her sweet 5 - year - old rescuedshih tzu , could n’t be helped .
" I had two really serious falls , which totally disable me . I could n’t get up — I was flat on my back , " Summers tell Daily Paws . " My daughter , bless her meat , had her hands full taking care of me 24/7 . treat with the cooking , lavation , and Lacey Day was all just so much . " So her daughter found the puppy a new home with another caring family she knew .

Although Summers understood it was the right decision , it did n’t make it any less difficult to swallow . She loves everything about the strain , especially their snappy personalities , comedic natures , and seraphic disposition . She even had another one before Lacey Day named Bentley . " So I just wanted to see and pet a shih tzu periodically , and mayhap play with one a bit . "
Having move into her current home only recently , Summers did n’t know many of her neighbors . But when she spotted a woman walking with a shih tzu , Summers used the power of technology to make liaison : she post a asking on theNextdoor app , asking the woman if she could please bring her little dog by again so she could see the pup . Not only did the adult female react , but so did about 300 other people , all offer to partake in extra puppy erotic love !
" I met some of the nicest people in this neighborhood , " Summers says . " It was really a bang-up feeling for me to have all this onslaught of consideration and kindness . " She has n’t interact with all the favorable preferent parents and their canine sidekick yet , but there have still been many furred visitors stop by , include shih tzus mention Mocha and Hank and their pet parent , a sassy littlecorgi , aGerman sheepherder , and others .

Summers is simply overjoyed how people partake their sustenance . " There are two ladies in picky who … bring their domestic dog over once a week or once every two weeks , " she say . " And we ’ve become really good Quaker — these dame are passing nice , and we have a deal in vulgar . So that was a really golden bonus for me , especially as a young neighbour . "
