Smiley , a unsighted Golden Retriever , was actually born without eyes . After overcoming the horrible situation he was in as a puppy , Smiley is now living up to his name and fulfilling his obligation as a service dog .
Smiley ’s possessor , Joanne George , rescue him from a puppy John Mill when he was between the ages of 1 and 2 - long time - old . Smiley was unquiet at first . He had never been out of the b at the puppy grinder , but he bonded rapidly with one of George ’s other weenie Tyler , a deaf corking Dane .

In her interview with ABC News , she recalls a man that had no address and did n’t communicate with his primary care provider or other residents at all . In fact , the faculty had never even see him smile until Smiley came in for a visit .
