Teddy , agolden retrieverfrom South Carolina , has become a trendingTikToksensation — partly because he ’s an endearing pup , but mostly because of the unbelievably awesome doghouse that his owner created .
Jonathan Lower , known to his Instagram followers asJohn Lower The Home Project Guy , document how he exchange an old utility closet under the stair into Teddy ’s new den . The luxury den is pure with a flat - screen TV , open fireplace , and a custom portrait of the cute and cuddly golden hanging over the chimneypiece ( yes , that is correct … I said ' pallium ' ! ) .

Lower , a real estate agent in South Carolina , tells Daily Paws that the breathing in for Teddy ’s ambition house originated from a walk - through with a client . " The vender had a playhouse for their daughter under the stairs . It was just an heart-to-heart space with toys , but for some rationality , the thought popped into my head that it would be neat to have a dog planetary house outside with a doggy doorway going into that space , " he say .

Creating a Luxury Doggy Room
When it come to the creation of Teddy ’s awesome space , Lower says he started with the interior . " I built him a customs bed with slideway out bloomers , tradition gilded retriever fairy light above , new inflammation , shiplap , a functional hearth , goggle box , and a customs duty portrayal . " Once the interior of the golden ’s special way was concluded , Lower says he fabricate the rock and artificer - panache outside part that appears in the home ’s hallway , which he finished off with a custom mat . But Teddy ’s suite space was n’t an overnight DIY dog house . He says mental synthesis of the interior take about a week and a half of work during the eve , and the outside took a full day to finish .
Lower admits that since it ’s just the two of them in the house , " all of my surplus and spoilage move to Teddy , until we receive him a dog mum . It ’s clear these two have an unbreakable bond and one that keep to grow through new projection and animation stages . For their next DIY try , Lower says he ’s getting ready to build a pool house and has plans to work up Teddy a customs duty sidecar that will tie to his cycle so the two can revel wheel rides together .
