The Burlington Animal Services stave was told the loving pup could be " dog selective . " However , Michel says they did n’t see any indication of that . " We just roll in the hay that Chino make out getting outside in our sport area and loved being with multitude ! " Michel tells Daily Paws .
Although the shelter is n’t positive on Chino ’s historic period or strain , Michel says she and the staff think he was a " 100 percent honest male child " and a " happy , zany boy " who always enjoyed going out in the shelter ’s play areas to run and play with volunteers .
" Helovespeople and is a smart puppy who knows the [ cues]sit , speak , and whispering ( he brings his bulk down a notch or two ) , " she says .
Chino came to Burlington Animal Services ( BAS ) as the result of a trade between BAS and another local shelter , Guilford County Animal Services .
" We took three of their hound who had not been have much care in exchange for three of ours who had been with us a while , " Michel tell . " Chino had been in their shelter for around a yr and require a modification of scene . "
Initially , Michel says , Chino was like most other wienerwurst in the kennel : He ’d get worked up and barque when masses move by . But as the weeks passed , the staff began to detect a change .
" After he had been with us several weeks , we put him in one of our item-by-item rooms to take into account him more outer space , more visibility to visitor , and a quieter space , " she explains . " He loved when stave or Volunteer would come in to see him or take him outside , but he also seemed a littledepressedand slept a mass . We realized he really needed to getadoptedor go to afoster home . "
Burlington Animal Services uses its social media platforms to advertise pets and have found it ’s usually highly successful in helping them get note .
" We had already done a couple of post about Chino , but we decided to do another one showing the Chino we saw — sleeping on his blanket , look a little depressed and sad , " Michel says . " For some reason , this special post went absolutely viral and reached an incredible number of people . And it worked ! "
A day or so after the post went up , Michel says a young charwoman came to the tax shelter , spent some prison term with Chino , and determine he was the one for her .
" Chino share his opinion by telling us how he felt about spending so many months in a shelter – a big , fat , THANKS , BUT NO THANKS ! I’M OUTTA HERE ! " Burlington Animal Services write in aFacebook post . " Happy after part , sweet boy . We wish well you nothing but the best and happiest animation ! "
The protection has n’t had any communicating with Chino ’s adopter since his Gotcha Day , but Michel says that to the good of their knowledge , he ’s doing well in his new home plate — all in time to enjoy the vacation and many days of love and felicity with his forever house .
