After several tests , the vets at the clinic determined Shadow was likely around 3 months older , meaning he was extremely underweight for his age and in all probability malnourished . The black kitten received IV fluid and was put on a path of medication before he return to the care of his lifesaver and her partner , Michael .
When he first came home with them , Lisa and Michael plan to care for the kitty for around 10 days before he could join a surrogate home before finally finding hisforever home . After a forgetful period , Lisa call for the plunge and introduced Shadow to her other cats . While she was nervous at first , she say the other cats straight off accepted the downtrodden feline .

Lisa made a post about Shadow ’s journeying on Reddit , and it has since been upvoted more than 10,000 time . And their narrative is especially like - worthy , considering the Humane Society of the United Statesestimatesthat only 25 percent of kat born outdoors get through 6 months older .
But people like cat advocate Lisa explained that against the betting odds , fight for the life of an beast in pauperism will at last benefit both life .
