An injured dog was rescue and reunite with its owner hours after fall more than 100 ft cliff in Peak District .

Sprocker spanielbreed , “ Fig ” Figgy , was walking with its owner , Kayley Williams , above Thor ’s Cave when the dog crash down to the bottom of the cliff .

“ We went up to the vantage point and Figgy was explore and just go away , ” Kayley articulate .

She added , “ I did n’t even realize the bound was there until I looked over myself . ”

Ms. Williams scour the country around the edge before get through members of the Derby Mountain Rescue Team to help broaden the search .

Upon arrive , the team behave initial lookup on pes and by R-2 to ascertain the dog but the effort moderate to no progress .

However , it was only through the use of trailer with infrared cameras that they were able to site the heel and have Ms. Williams key out the dog as Figgy .

“ I had almost no hope , ” Ms. Williams said . “ Mentally , I was choosing what to do with the ashes . ”

“ When they said they had base a heating origin , I assumed it was her body and hope it would at least be in one piece . ”

“ But then they show me her on the photographic camera and she was alive , ” she added .

Kayley continued : “ Even then , I thought she might be paralyzed or so badly wound she would have to be put down . ”

induce a positive ID on the missing dog , Derby Mountain Rescue Teamset up a rope system and have a member retrieve the bounder .

Toby Green , the member who descended to retrieve the domestic dog , was surprised to get hold out that the hotdog was mostly unscathed except for some potentially broken bones .

He narrated what followed after his fall : “ She did give me a piddling growling because she was so frightened , but after a few stroke she seemed happy . ”

“ I was die to seek to carry her down in my arms , but she was too wriggly so I put her in my knapsack , ” he supply .

Toby resurfaced to the top and an emotional reunification between Figgy and Kayley ensued after he released the spaniel out of the backpack .

During the post - operation audience , Kayley commented , “ When Figgy was let out of the bag , I made a noise I do n’t opine I can describe .

“ It was unbelievable , I was just so happy and I was so proud of . She gave all the squad a kiss , they were amazing , ” Ms. Williams contribute .

The military operation end at 1:30 pm , five hours after the response team rush to the scene .
