Before becoming an all - headliner pup , Tiki , a 6 - twelvemonth - sure-enough cattle detent hound mix , was run away out of time at her municipal tax shelter . She was luckily rescue from the shelter where she ’d been held just in the snick of time — on the very day she was schedule to be euthanized . After her rescue , Tiki lived with her foster mom for eight months while she recovered fromheartwormand amammary tumour .

But through month of education and difficult work , the hound check to build relationships with human rather than only responding to her impulses . And all that hard work has paid off with patronage titles and cross - country competition make headway !
Within the first year of her acceptation , Tiki and Towers traveled all across the country to different agility competitions . Her first stop was the World Invite backing for dock diving in Tennessee . Later , the former shelter dog traveled to Florida to compete in the internal competition forNorth American Diving Dogs . While Tiki excels at most sports ( she ’s usually the top dog in her division ! ) Towers say the whelp is specially fond ofFrisbees .
Tiki lives with four other rescue dogs , and Towers describes her as " the clown of the group — Tiki maintain everybody having a good fourth dimension . " No matter what ’s going on , this small dog bonk how to have fun . Towers say that while she is n’t the big andiron in the group , she is the most competitive . When Tiki hears the motor start for Fast CAT , she ’s ready to go . And if a Frisbee is cast her way , Towers says she ’s shocked if Tiki is n’t the one to get it first .
