Pancake , a sweetened little terrier mixing who ’s had a rough start to liveliness , has spent nearly 1,000 Day waiting to be take in . The puppy has been in shelters and with afoster familyas she hold back for the right folk to call her own . But a few administration in Kansas City are teaming up to share her story , and in the process , find a constantly dwelling she can call her own .
When this beautiful brindle dog was brought to Kansas City beast control condition three years ago , she was in dire condition . Pancake weighed only 48 Pound and had survived some sort of serious blunt force trauma . According to aFOX 4 news story , a vet who treated her at the time believed Pancake had been score by a railcar and left to decease .

Since then , she ’s made some heaven-sent advancement , most recently in a foster base through placement byThe Rescue Project . And while the clock time spend recovering since then allow her to regain her wellness and metier — she ’s now 4 years former and consider a respectable 75 pounds!—Pancake has yet to find her double-dyed forever home .
That ’s why Kansas City - base animal protagonism organizationMission Drivendecided to step in . The organization works in partnership with rescue facility to help long - term tax shelter pets like Pancake find their forever home . The group of late teamed up with local radio stationQ104to share the dog ’s story on itsMay 14 " Morning Mutts " segment .
During the wireless appearance , Q104 radio emcee Jenny Matthews share her initial reaction to Pancake after spending a few minute with the pup . In a clip of the interview shared to Facebook , Pancake appears to calmly chomp on her bone in the most nonchalant sploot we ’ve ever seen during a medium consultation , while Matthews says she " would enjoy to have Pancake in my home … she seems like the sweetest girl ever . "
Scott Poore , founder of Mission Driven and Pancake ’s apparent media handler for the day , shared a few nugget about the pup for listeners as well . " Pancake come from a really problematic place … but we ’re going to rivet on her bright future , " Poore says . He shared that Pancake " loooovespeople , " and would do best as the only dearie in a home . He also says that since she ’s an active puppy , she ’s more suitable for syndicate with previous tiddler since her size and vitality level might mean she could unintentionally knock little Thomas Kid down . But despite the parole getting out about Pancake , Mission Driven shared that she still has yet to find her raw adoptive family unit since the audience aired .
