A rare black - and - orange chimaera kitten , suitably named Apricot , was recently rescued byNashville Cat Rescue .
Apricot and her buddy Pretzel ( Apricot and Pretzel?Perfect namesif you call for us ) were rescued after a family unit moved into a house and found the kittens in a wall , foster mom Kayli Craig , who go by Kiki , tells Daily Paws . " After wait for momma , she did n’t come back for them . They mean she was spooked by some trashy bounder next room access . Apricot ’s singular look is drawing fan from across the country , her face absolutely split down the middle half black and half orange . As Craig mentions , chimera cat can also have eye of two different colors , which is calledheterochromia , but Apricot is too new to recount aright now if she ’ll have these special peepers , too . " Her eye wo n’t settle into her grownup color until she is 7 week of age , " she excuse .
According to Craig , the kitten are both doing well , though Pretzel seems to be the more unruly one of the siblings . " He is playful ! He likes to be good in the thick of all his siblings and is trying to get over range , although he ’s still quite wobbly , " she tells us .
Apricot on the other hand , is a scrap more like a typical baby kitten . " She does n’t have a personality as of yet . Just a sleepy baby cat ! She ’s hear how to take the air more confidently , use the litter box , and is finally eat some slurry ( miscellanea of formula + cockeyed food ) , " Craig suppose .
