Honey , aYorkieJack Russell hybrid , was rescued and arrived atBattersea Dogs and Cats Homebefore discover a dwelling with Battersea volunteer Reeta Minhas - Judd .
After getting the lead part , Honey starred in Battersea ’s Wear Blue For Rescue television set campaign .

This TV advert portrayed a message that further owners to announce their love for rescue animals by joining the apparent movement through contribution and support .
The safari advert was launch and was well - received across K , if not millions , of UK households , which turned Honey into a star overnight .
“ When the advert go out on telly in 2021 , everybody was pointing her out in the street saying , ‘ She ’s that Battersea dog ! ' Even our postwoman recognize her , ” Reeta recall .

Reeta added : “ From the moment Honey was take for the Battersea ad , it was like she knew she going to be far-famed and turned into a correct petty diva . She could n’t get enough of the camera . ”
“ She became our small lead and , as a pampered pooch , was always look me to give out her favourite chicken treat . We are so proud that she was able-bodied to championrescue dogsand CAT during her lifespan , a cause we proceed to hold up .
Sadly , Honey passed away this year , but Reeta and her hubby Howard were set to pay protection to their wonderment ducky .
