It ’s not everyday that you meet an adventurous and outdoorsy cat who loves to get out and enjoy nature on a leash . Meet Spikie : a calamitous kitty from Quebec City , Canada and her video technician / hiker cat - parent , Chloee Lachapelle . This duo is anything but average , and has traveled , hiked , camped , and even depart kayaking since they became a couplet .
Lachapelle tells Daily Paws she actualise Spikie was a very special — and adventurous!—cat the first day she bring her base . Unlike her other kitties who would hide out under the bed during their first few days acclimating to their new base , she says Spikie almost in a flash showed off her energy and enthusiasm . " I could play with her for hours and she is still asking for more play , " Lachapelle says .

Once she ’d realized Spikie would involve some superfluous exciting outlets for all that kitty energy , Lachapelle says she had to find other ways to exercise her fresh feline booster out of doors of the usualcat toys . That ’s when she decide to get acat harnessand take her new feline champion for a base on balls … and the rest was history .
" The moment I took her out she was looking around everywhere and trying to inquire , " Lachapelle says . And it ’s clean that Spikie quickly embraced her newfound exemption . The couple has been on countless adventures ever since — from climbing up tree diagram in the summer month to winter hikes with Spikie tucked snuggly in Lachapelle’spack . She say that at first the two travel buddies would walk outside once a month . But starting last year , they increase their " manner of walking in the forest " to every day .
Their discoveries did not stop with trek through the trees . Spikie even tug her cat - mom to examine water system sports . Lachapelle says the first time she ever lead kayak was with Spikie . The two rented a sauceboat and Lachapelle says that as shortly as she started dabble , gay little Spikie head straight to the front of the stem to perch at the crest of the sauceboat . A true feline trailblazer !
