Sheba ’s mob could n’t be more thrilled to have her back home after four old age of searching and hoping .
Anyone who ’s lost a dog bonk there ’s absolutely nothing sweeter than the moment you ’re reunited with your beloved pooch . And because this Baytown , Texas , syndicate had to await a whole four years before they could experience that minute with their belovedGerman sheepherder , Sheba , the reunion was that much sweeter .
" It ’s like she never leave , " Stephanie Moore Malmstrom , Sheba ’s owner , tells Daily Paws . " We ’re so blasted to have her back . "

Sheba go missing in January 2018 when her home was over at a neighbor ’s menage . When the family line came back and found she was n’t still napping underneath the terrace — or react when her name was called — they experience something was wrong .
After searching all night and twenty-four hour period and posting flier , the menage remember to match their security measure footage and made a heartbreaking find — Sheba was n’t just lost , she was stolen . The house alerted themicrochipcompany and kept searching , but as the years continued to egest , it got harder and harder to remain hopeful their stolen dog would find her way home .
Fast forward to this August , and Moore Malmstrom was surprised to see two text edition message and missed calls saying Sheba had been find . Initially , she recollect it was a cozenage — someone trying to take advantage of the love for her missing pet . But when she called the phone number , animal command officer Jerry Harper inform her that he had , in fact , found her steal dog—600 miles away in a town called Borger .

Still , Moore Malmstrom was disbelieving — excited but nervous about potentially make her heart broken all over again . She ask to see pictures of her face , her paws , anything that could affirm it was her Sheba . But it was n’t until Moore Malmstrom and her husband FaceTimed Harper the next day and remembered they ’d grow Sheba an designation tattoo that they were prescribed it was her .
" After that I was like , ' This is her ! Y’all have my dog — y’all have my babe ! ' I was quick to get in the car and go . " she say .
Unfortunately , Sheba was a 12 - minute drive away ( 24 hours roundtrip ! ) , so the family had to be patient and wait a hebdomad for a military volunteer organization to vanish her back home .

Though the class has sum some new members since Sheba went missing — a rescuepit bullnamed Poppy and a little son named Mason — Sheba has n’t missed a beat . Though she ’s act a little wearisome these days , she ’s still well-chosen to love on her phratry , play in the yard , and share high mallow joint with her novel favourite slight boy , Mason .
