For generations , the UK has billed itself as being a Carry Nation of dog lovers . Yet every day a scandalous issue of healthy dogs are being put down as Greek valerian and council struggle to cope with the issue of undesirable dogs .
Research from theDogs Trust in the UKshows that every day 280 stray are find . The charity received almost 44,000 Call in the last 12 month from bounder owner who wanted to give up their pet . That ’s 120 call every mean solar day .
Over the last 12 month over 100,000 stray orabandoned dogswere taken in by UK local authorities . Of those , more than 5,000 were put down .
The Dog ’s Trust has a policy of never putting a hefty dog down , but many local councils will only keep a dog for 7 day . It ’s not all sorry news though as over 50,000stray dogswere reunited with their families .
Dog ’s Trust ’s chief executive director , Adrian Burder , pronounce that the Dog ’s Trust ’s catchword of “ a dog is for life ” is more significant than ever .
“ If you ’re not prepared to care for a dog for its entire life , do not dedicate to becoming a dog owner , ” say Burder .
So what has changed so much that an increasing proportionality of our society seems to view hotdog as disposable items ?
Of naturally , there are sometimes genuine reasons why someone is unable to keep their dog ; however , more and more it is about people who likes the idea of owning a dog but are not inclined to put the effort into training and exercising their new member of the family .
It has been apparent over the last 10 to 20 years that an increasing number of parent in the UK are either not equipped or not prepared to put the effort into nurture and run their children through the formative geezerhood of their lives . It takes feat . It ’s also really elusive at times as children and especially teenagers can be challenging to say the least .
Parents are more regularly avoiding confrontation and their plan B is to just bang the children and hope things work out OK . That philosophical system hascontinued into their pet tutelage .
