After months recovering from his wound , Oedipus Wrecks in conclusion has a newfangled family .
When 3 - year - old orange tabby Oedipus Wrecks was first contribute into theCrash ’s Landingshelter in Grand Rapids , Mich. , he was in pretty approximative Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe . Limping bad from accidental injury to two of his four leg , Oedipus had several infected battle wounds when he arrived at the shelter in March . It was a dim route of recovery but under the watchful eye of Crash ’s Landing ’s Jen Gillum , DVM , Oedipus was able to make a complete convalescence from his lesion and infection . He was made available for adoption in April .
However , it would n’t be until October , during the Bissell Pet Foundation ’s annual"Empty the Shelters"event , that Oedipus would converge his forever syndicate .

For Oedipus , his turn came in the form of a pair of repeat customers to Crash ’s Landing .

" We went into Crash ’s Landing for a few visits and chose our first khat , a little cat name Stevie Nicks , from there . While not disastrous itself , FIV can put cats at an increase risk of develop dangerous transmission , so Barker will have to keep a close heart on changes to his energy levels or resistant responses . Otherwise , Oedipus has a sporty bill of health and is ready to live a full , well-chosen life with his human and cat familiar .
