Two beluga whales at the Mystic Aquarium really seemed to enjoy their private concert .
The country ’s largest beluga whale home ground is impressive on its own , but the fact that it double as a private concert locus makes us want to natter Connecticut ’s Mystic Aquarium even more .
That was the vista recently . ViolinistBig Luxpicked up his bow and toy some toe - tapping , flipper - shaking music in front of two belugas in the 750,000 - gallon tank . In a TV of the performanceposted to Instagramlast workweek , two of the whales are seen looking entranced by the fiddler ’s beautiful tunes , seeming to sway their large flipper to the beat .
" We latterly had a private functioning for Juno , Kela , and Natasha ! This type of enrichment is great for animals and man alike ! " the aquarium wrote in the caption .
It actually was n’t the first beluga concert at Mystic Aquarium . Back in July 2011 , Juno wasfilmed " dancing"alongside a mariachi band during a marriage ceremony . At the time , a representative from the fish tank , Lindsey Nelson , told a reporter Juno was probably mimic the band ’s guitar player — not trip the light fantastic toe .
However , Nelson did tell WTNH that Juno could " certainly " get wind the band ’s euphony , so it ’s probable he and his fellow boppin ' white whale were capable to hear Big Lux sooner this calendar month . Plus , him play the violin was credibly visually interesting , too — more than enough reason for two of the belugas to car park by the Methedrine and watch over .
So while these belugas in all likelihood were n’t boogying to the measure , at least they were able-bodied to savour some music . Plus , we can still watch this cute video on repetition and reckon these marvelous sea creatures magnetise by the melody !
